Welcome to the Wyoming Miner’s Hospital Board's Homepage. The Board was created by the Legislature and the Governor on March, 2001 (§ 30-6-101) to use funds set aside by the state to serve disabled or incapacitated miners in the state of Wyoming with emphasis on pulmonary/respiratory, hearing loss, cardiac and musculoskeletal conditions. The funding for these programs comes from the miner’s hospital account from the permanent land fund and the miner’s hospital account from the permanent income fund.
The Board is dedicated to providing healthcare programs and financial assistance to disabled or incapacitated miners in Wyoming experiencing health problems in the four areas mentioned above when due to labor in the mining industry. The Board will act as a good steward of the funds designated for the health and well-being of Wyoming miners.
